Above: Warhead in American Battlebots. In my opinion the coolest robot on earth.
In collaboration with Team Razer, Team Infinity, and Rex Garrod several interesting, and very exciting events will be taking place during 2002 featuring robots designed and built by me, James Baker.
Details are classified at present (ie, I'm not 100% sure of them so I can't publish them until I am) so you will have to check back in a couple of weeks, but rest assured you will be impressed. Read on to see why.
British middle weight enters American Robot Wars.
The Americans have a version of Robot Wars called Battlebots. It's in the style of WWF wrestling so it's not everyones cup of tea, but all going well I will be in it in November this year with my new robot "Phenomenon". More info to come.
Wrexham Robot Challenge.
A variation on Rex's Robot challenge actively promoted in my home town of Wrexham, but open to all the challenge follows the same rules as Rex's challenge. The objective is to design and build a 12kg robot to strict rules and regulations. These robots then compete in a national championship. It is ideally suited to school, colleges and youth groups, but is challenging enough for anyone to enjoy. Many trophies and prizes can be won, including a special challenge for anyone brave enough to take on my 12kg entrant. The slayer sword is theirs in the unlikely event of them beating me. Full rules and details of how to enter will be up soon so keep visiting.
Razer racing.
Team Razer have associated themselves with my motor racing. I carry their logo on my Formula Honda at the moment. Future project with this union will be posted along with pictures of Razer at the races. With Warhead now on the scene I can see some exciting times ahead for the pitlanes of the UK race circuits.

I have build many robots in the last year, and some of the more memorable ones will be immortalized on this section of the site. Expect to see robots suchs as "Headache" (with the paracetamol box chassis) "Migraine" (bigger MDF version of headache) and "Jaw breaker" (a nasty little MDF/aluminium 12kg machine with a 6kg vertical flywheel and tungstun steel teeth) Also pictures of my bigger machine "Phenomenon" will be up, and other interesting stuff will probably make it, such as the exploding "Jaw breaker" video clip.

I have found a lot of great info on lots of sites. Hopefully you can benefit from my hours surfing the net with this list of excellent sites to give you the same base of knowledge that led to my robots. Happy building.
